In partnership with the Entomological Society of America, the Entomological Foundation supports two sets of awards that recognize both educators as well as one outstanding individual who has made an impact on outreach education.

Medal of Honor
The Medal of Honor is the highest award bestowed by the Entomological Foundation. Over the years it has evolved to become a symbol of high contributions in the field of entomological outreach with recent award winners being individuals with exemplary contributions to encouraging participation in the science. President’s Prize Awards for Educators
The President’s Prize Awards is reserved for educators who are able to develop successful lesson plans that incorporate insects as an integral part of the curriculum. Two awards are offered, one for primary education (grades K-6) and one in secondary education (grades 7-12). Membership in the ESA is not a requirement to apply.
