The Board of Directors for the Entomological Foundation voted in early 2019 to dissolve the corporation as a result of a long history of declining revenues and no clear pathway for improvement (more details here). The Foundation’s grant-making program was transferred to the Entomological Society of America, as were the remaining funds and exists today as the Chrysalis Fund. Those who wish to support the effort–which provides small grants to educators who use insects in the classroom–are encouraged to make a charitable contribution to the Chrysalis Fund either by clicking here or participating in fund-raising events at the ESA Annual Meetings.
